Hello
I've managed to get a Windows NT guest working along with two serial ports. However I'm having issues with an apparent time out or sleeping of the ports. I am able to communicate to some third party hardware across the serial port but a constant connection is required. Every 10/15 seconds or so the connection drops only to reconnect itself again after 10 seconds or so. Has anyone experienced something like this before? Are there any settings to control this that I've missed?
Thanks in advance
James

Re: Windows NT Guest and Serial Ports
My guess is the program you are using for the serial port has a problem with a virtual serial port.
Many of of these programs often access hardware directly in special ways.
You could try an USB or Ethernet serial adapter, which often has better virtualization of a serial port than VirtualBox.
