Windows in native mode on netbook & vm-mode on Macbook

Hello,

I'm not a professional in handling with VMs, but I had an idea to work on. I have a netbook, which Im using for the university. It's light to carry and smal! But, when I'm back home, it's too small to work with. So I thought, I can create a VHD with Windows 7 and put this VHD on an external drive. So far so good. I created this bootable Image and everything worked fine! I was able to boot from this image on my netbook.
LAter I tried to mount this image in Virtualbox. It seemed to work, but then there came a bluescreen saying something like:

Code: Select all

Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0x80786b58, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
I found this in the internet: http://ollysense.blogspot.com/2010/05/v ... image.html

So I changed the SATA mode to IDE. Booting in the virtual Box continued, but stoped after the splashlogo. The VHD is working on the Virtual PC though, but this programm is not availiable for MAC OS and I don't really like it either. Is there anything which is wrong, or is it just not possible? I didn't find a solution, maybe somebody of you have any experiences?

Thanks
Ben

Hm, any ideas? I tried out the virtual PC from Microsoft. This works pretty good.. Do I need to change any other preferences?
