Resize XP Guest drive (OSX Host)

I see quite a few posts on how to "resize" an XP Guest drive with Linux Hosts, but haven't found one for an OSX Host.

Wondering if anyone has done this and, if so, if they'd be kind enough to provide some direction.

Thanks!

Look into the Manual. "VBoxManage" has a in newer versions a resize option. And dont forget to use a partitioning tool to resize the system partition, VBoxManage only resizes the harddisc.

Thanks.

I'm a bit confused as to resizing the "system partition" -vs- the "harddisc." Would you mind elaborating? Also, could you recommend a partitioning tool for OSX?

Thanks again.

The image (vdi) is like a whole disc and could have more than one partition. The resize option only make the disc bigger, not the partitions. More see Google and Wikipedia.

I have no Mac Guests, so i cant give you a tip for such a tool. But Google can.

But, if I didn't partition the .vdi, I should only have to re-size it, no?

No. As i read you have an XP guest. You can boot the guest with a linux cd and resize the partition with gparted.
