Hi, I know even in real Windows system, it rarely requires disk defragment. But just for the sake of knowing, does a windows virtual drive get fragmented and if defrag program helps?

Windows is known to fragment it's files like no other, so it happens on a virtual system too. But it won't help you in any way, because the fragmentation is not the same on the Host side. VDI files are build with 1 MB chunks. So for example, if you have a file of 5 MB that's fragmented in the Guest, it is very likely to be continuous on the Host because 5 blocks of 1 MB are written right after each other.
