Howdy,

Looked around for similar posts so I hope I am not duplicating

host : win 7 enterprise, hd 4850 using wddm 1.1, i7 2600k @ 3.40, VB 4.1.4
guest: win xp sp 2 with 2 gb mem.[nested is off]
This program is great but I have an issue>>> the 2d and 3d boxes are greyed out despite installing
guest additions in safe mode. hd 4850 supports open gl 3.2 so I am confused[went thru the manual too so I hope I did not miss anything]
really tired of old programs screaming for open gl, have noticed how MS has tried to direct people to direct x, win 7 sucks at open gl even though it is included

I am guessing the wddm driver is the probable culprit but 3d is also still experimental so here I am looking for answers. I know I could update it but when I do it conflicts with second vid card for monitors 3 and 4

Thanks for any reply!!

Ok, are you 100% certain that you are connected and running on the ATi video card. I ask just to be sure, because if you connected your monitor to the onboard connector, it would explain things as you would be running on the Intel video chip inside the CPU.

Is the system using the latest ATi drivers? That may be the problem as well, because if they aren't completely installed or up to date, it may give problems, preventing you to enable 3D and 2D. Remember that OpenGL is supplied by the video card drivers, not Windows. The version that is included in Windows is not sufficient.
