Hi there,

I'm using VirtualBox a while now and I've never had any problems. But today, I was trying to upgrade from 4.1.2 to 4.1.4 but the installation fails!
Is there an logfile which I can use for troubleshooting why it fails?

Or could you maybe help?
I'm using MacOS X 10.6.8 and was running the 4.1.2 wihtout any problems. I even uninstalled the 4.1.2 and even then the installation fails. The only message is see is this:

There were errors with the installation. You may want to try installing again.

Yellow Questionmark
The installation failed.

The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

I know this seems like a silly answer but after running into the same problem, I discovered a solution. I don't have an answer to WHY though.

Reboot your computer before running the .dmg

I tried numerous things and then in a desperate attempt at anything, I pretended I had a PC and rebooted. Turns out, it worked!
