New XP vhd won't work

This has probably been posted but I can't find it on the search and anything I can find won't work.

We have been using XP on VirtualBox for a while now to test websites in IE6/7/8. Up until now its been working fine. Then all our versions rebooted and there was a window saying the evaluation period has ended. Upon downloading the new files for XP from the Microsoft site I can't get XP to work. The setup goes without a hitch but when I try to boot Windows I just get a black screen?? I've tried converting the vhd to a vdi but then either get a black screen or a bootable disc error.

Can someone help?
