On start I create a virtual harddisk that dynamically grows.
I install an OS and the vdi file will have the size of that OS, I install some software, and the vdi file grows to the size of the OS plus that software.
That makes sense, until I delete or uninstall some stuff.
The vdi file doesn´t shrink, no matter how big it has become, it keeps the biggest size it needed during its history.
In short, is there a way to reset or reorganize a vdi to the size currently needed, other than creating a backup before it grows?
Reset HDD image?

Look at CloneVDI Tool. It has the ability to not only clone ( a great backup) but can in fact compress while cloning.
