Shutdown the guest and at the top on the window you showed earlier, click the machine tab and then show log. Post the log file as an attachment.

You have not installed the guest additions (in the guest)
You have not installed the Extension Pack to be able to use USB, VRDE.

Other than that I would just learn to use the guest and the VirtualBox program. Keep it slow and simple until you are familiar with how it all works.

Conditions: Win host and guest, VBox v4.3.2.r90405 running, the guest is NOT running at all (as this seem to have been a bit misunderstood in this conversation).
- When you open Settings, if your guest has a "NAT Network" networking, the dialog gets stuck at 55% immediately upon dialog opening and no "OK" can change the settings. Afterwards VBox is likely to show empty settings tabs and/or hang.
- If you set up a guest with default "NAT" networking, everything works smoothly, and when settings dialog is opened, the progress bar (the same one which hangs at 55% in this first case) just flashes briefly and disappears, giving the impression that the settings are "reloaded". No problems afterwards, whatsoever.

i have the same issue on 2012 Server
click on a NOT running machine to see/change options (extensions are installed) and the virtual box checking access stuck at 55%
the VirtualBox Interface is consuming the rest of CPU, what ever gets free :(

looks like a really deep problem inside virtual box code
