Client Lockup using Eclipse GWT

I have a very repeatable client lockup when trying to use GWT Designer in Eclipse. This is running on VirtualBox 4.1.2.
This is running on an Windows 7 client which is running on a Windows 7 host. The client is set for 4 cores and the host has 8 cores.
I think this is a VirtualBox problem because the client totally locks up, doesn't respond to any user input, and the only thing I can do is use the VirtualBox menu to close it.
To reproduce, I created a new Windows 7 client and installed the following software:
All important Windows 7 patches except Internet Explorer 9
Symantec Endpoint Protection
Java 6 update 27
VirtualBox Guest Additions 4.1.2
Eclipse Indigo
Installed the Google GWT 3.7 plugin using Eclipse, all components except the App Engine tools.
Start Eclipse, create a New Web Application Project with Sample Code.
Under the client source directory, select the java source file named after the project, and select the "Open With" menu pick and then select the GWT Designer.
After the source file opens, select the Design tab. After the designer opens, select any component on the palette, then wait or try to place the component in the window.
The VirtualBox client will be locked up.
Attached is the VirtualBox log file for the client when it locks up.
Any workaround would be greatly appreciated.
