WinXP internet access stops 15 minutes after inactive

After a short time (not sure exactly how long) my WinXP Guest no longer has internet access via my Mac OS X Host.
It reappears after a shutdown, but disappears shortly after each boot.
Could this be a timeout setting somewhere?
Note: REPAIRing the network connection within WinXP does not correct it.

John,
This happens so rare that most people have not see it. Only thing I can think of is to check the guests network adapter and make sure that it does not have a sleep cycle. Power management could also cause this issue.

Perry,
Looking at the VB Network settings, I see:
- NAT, two greyed-out options and my MAC address
- Host-only, vboxnet0, Promiscuous Mode: Allow VMs, then my MAC address
Does anything look unusual?

This wold actually be the adapter settings inside the guest. not VBox. and the power management inside the guest.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't see any sleep options anywhere...

Can anyone think of any reason why this Guest would drop it's internet connection 15 minutes after it goes inactive?
More clues...
I run BOINC on the WinXP Guest, so I can see timestamps when the network connection works and when it stops.
I tried booting and immediately minimizing the Guest. 15 minutes later the connection stops.
I tried working on the Guest, the connection stays connected as long as I'm active (20+ min).
15 minutes after I let it go inactive (minimize or just bring other windows on top of it), the connection stops.
This happens every time.

@John,
First thing to check is the screen saver in the guest and then the power management.

I'm afraid I don't have anymore for you.
Dropping this Windows XP network stops after 15 minutes of no activity in Google returns 1.6 million hits but I have to believe this is OS specific and could be related to network card settings, firewall, or virus software. As well as the service pack from reading a few of them.
Good luck.

Thanks again @Perry for all of your help and suggestions.
I too have scoured the Google-verse, without success.
Although I did just see two things that should not make a difference, but I haven't tried them before.
I'll try them now. If they work, I'll report back here...

I wish I could report good news, but...
One article I read said to defrag the harddrive. That should have nothing to do with anything, but at this point...
As suspected, no effect.
Another article said to increase the memory. That might have an effect, but it did not. btw - I went from 8GB to 12GB.
