MS Windows Vista lag and crash problems

Post by Sonicje »

Hi everyone !

Let me first give you the setup of the system...
Intel i7
RAM: 8gb DDR3
HDD: 750gb

I'm running MS Windows 7 x64 as the host system.
My Guest OS is MS Windows Vista x86.
I like the photo viewer in Windows Vista because of the easy cropping option.

I installed the Vista on a virtual 160gb HDD and gave it 3gb RAM.
Also I turned off the amd-v option and turned "visualization" on in the BIOS.
I created a network map, so that I can put my photo's in my photo map on the Host OS and crop them in the Guest OS.
Also I use Corel Paint X2 for some editing.

First of all, when I want to open Corel Paint, it takes 2 minutes to open.
When I'm cropping my photo's, it goes in little shocks so it's pretty laggy.
In an album of 200 photo's or so, the system crashes an average of 3 times and I need to restart a few of my photo's.
I sometimes get a bluescreen of death, or VM virtualbox just shuts down.

I'll upload the full log in the hope someone of you can spot the problem.

Thanks in advance :)
