How do I access a CD in Windows 95?

Post by michaelward84 »

Trying to run Myst in Windows 95 on a Mac OS 10.5.8. Windows 95 is installed, but I don't know how to point to the Myst installation CD in the Run command line. I've had a Mac all my life so I have absolutely no idea how to navigate through DOS or Windows.

I just want to get to the Channelwood Age. Please help.

The CD has a drive letter like any other DOS/Windows drive. Usually the drive letter is one or two places beyond your last internal hdd drive letter. So, assuming your hdd is drive C, your CD is usually drive D or E. "dir E:\" to show the contents of the root folder on that drive (though using Windows Explorer would be easier). Something like "e:\folder\execname" to run an executable, but again, double clicking it in an Explorer window would be easier.

These are not VirtualBox questions you know, please bear that in mind.

Also note that Win95 is not a supported guest OS.
