What you see is what I would expect. It should have reverted the internal structure of a v3 format .hdd file to be a v2 format .hdd file. The file should not change dramatically in size, the extension will not change. Now you need to find out if VirtualBox will accept the converted file.

Okay, you're saying create a new VM inside VirtualBox and see if it will import the changed hdd file. I tried doing this and got an error message. VB is saying that a VM already exists. Not sure how to create a new VM and import the hdd. Some help with this would be appreciated.
