Why does Virtual Box require I install my Win7 64-bit operating system afresh? It prompts me to insert the original installation CD. I don't want it to do a fresh installation. I want to use an existing installation on my other partition while working inside Ubuntu 11.04.
Can someone clarify the situation I described and provide guidance on how to access my existing Windows installation?
I am using the version of VB from the default Ubuntu repo. Version 4.04.

Finally found the answer at this blog. Basically that option is not available in the OSE (open source) edition in the Ubuntu repo. Nobody ever told me this and it wasn't explicitly pointed out on the VB site.
