Sys hangs during creation of XP SP3 virtual disk image.

Hi. I'm new to VirtualBox.

My Host system: Windows 7, 3gig mem AMD Athlon X2, etc...

Guest - I'm trying to install = Win XP .iso with SP3.

I installed Virtual box today. Started to create a Windows Xp SP3 virtual disk ). The basic virtual disk seems to create. Next I run it for the first time... it asks for a CD/DVD or .iso that contains the guest OS. Cool. I point it to a DVD that I know is good. Virtualbox finds the .iso or DVD and starts to boot up the standard blue XP installation screen. So far so good. It starts loading windows XP files. Then it gets to the point that all the necessary windows XP files are loaded and that installation can "really" get going... and in white text at the bottom of the XP install screen it says "Starting Windows"... then Virtual Box hangs and if I move my mouse, my system hangs! TOTALLY FREEZES (no ctrl-alt-del or anything).

It freezes just before this screen (I think)

HINT: It does the same EXACT thing if I'm trying to install from an .iso on my HD or if I'm installing from a DVD with windows XP on it. I've tried a few different .iso's. Each freezes at exactly the same spot above - so I'm sure its my system and not the ISO's.

I run a pretty clean latptop, and have VMWare's Player running an XP image if that helps at all.

Where should I look to troubleshoot this issue?
