Win7 and USB

I used Virtualbox for some years now and its running smooth all the time, till ichanged my host ti win7.
Now its impossible to get any USB-Hardware to run with VirtB.
What do i have to do to run/install a Stick or a printer with VB?
Sytem: Win7 Ultimate 32bit . Guests WinXP-32bit
I cant believe, that is is such a problem..considering changing to vmware now....
VB: 4.1.2 ( including extension)
Running on AMD-Board NB:770, SB:700; Phenom 945II Rev C3; 8gb Ram
