I'm using a MacAir host (OS Lion) with Windows 7 32 bit as guest. I have installed the Extension Pack with the same issue number as VB and also guest additions. Despite writing filters, anything plugged into a USB port appears greyed out in the list. I have tried the possible reboot combinations for both the Mac and Windows. As a recent convert to Macs, I would appreciate advice.

I have a similar problem with a MacBook as a host and running Windows XP as a guest. I found two devices in Device Manager listed as "other devices" and so not working properly. I have not fond a solution yet. I mention this so you know where to look for the possible cause of the problem, and help you define the problem more precisely.
