I fear I may be in way over my head with VirtualBox, because I don't understand most of the user's manual!
My needs are very simple: I installed VirtualBox with Windows 7 because I have some files that work only on Windows. How do I move the files from OS X (Snow Leopard) onto the Windows 7 desktop in the virtualboxVM? When I try to drag them there they won't move. Surely this is a simple maneuver?
A second question: how to disconnect Windows 7 from the Internet. I have no need for it and want to avoid viruses or malware.
I hope someone can help, otherwise VirtualBox will be useless to me.

Re: Beginner's question
Drag & drop are not implemented yet. You need to use the shared folders to transfer files easily.
See Chapter: 4.3 Shared folders in the VirtualBox users manual
If you do not need Internet access at all take the checkmark out of network adapter settings for the guest
Or you can use host-only to allow the host and guest to see each other like a network with out having the Internet on the guest. See Chapter: 6.6 Host-only networking
