I am trying to decide whether or not I need to rebuild an VM from scratch (~ 6 hours) so any help would be appreciated.
After I built the OS and updated all the patches, etc., I was informed that the following settings needed to be set before OS installation (it didn't say this specifically, but the instructions have me making all of these changes before installing the OS):
1. System => Motherboard tab: Remove floppy drive
2. System => Processor Tab: enable Enable PAE/NX
3. System => Acceleration: disable Next page
4. Network: Set type from NAT to Bridged
I need to understand if these settings direct the installation of the OS, or are they just settings you can toggle on or toggle off?
Also, are these settings associated with the.vdi file itself or it this information stored in one of the other files in the VM directory when the disk is generated?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Jay

Re: Changing settings after installation OS
You can change this settings without reinstallation of the guest.

Re: Changing settings after installation OS
If you shut down the vm (not save or hibernate) you can make those changes from the VirtualBox Manager screen.
