Has any one run into a situation where it appears the the trust relationship to your Active DIrectory is no longer valid? I recently changed my DOMAIN password. My WinXP guest authenticates without issue. However, Windows 7 guest will not authenticate with the ERROR: "The Security database on this server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relatioship." I verified with teh Domain adin that the computer account is current.

Any ideas? I know I can resolve by re-adding hte computer to othe DOMAIN. However, I'm looking for a root cause..

Thanks

This question would be better asked at the Windows users forum at Microsoft. It is outside the scope of this forum.

Thanks for the reply. BUt this is the usual quagmire. is it a VBox thing? Or, a windows AD thing? I'll also post in MSDN as well.

My initial analysis points to a VBox issue as the XP guest authenticates just fine. I have 2 Win 7 guests, and both experience the same behavior, only after, the password change.

All other workstations authenticate fine. issue only appears on VBox virtuals. Also, VMware virtuals work fine as well.

VirtualBox has no control over your password or the fact that you have changed it. Was it working before you changed the password? If so then the issue must reside within the operating system because it was evidently communicating before the password change. I would look at the AD and see what it is reporting? Usually the users PC is given an ID as well as a password. Still outside the scope of VirtualBox.
