Assistance With Storing a VDI

Alright basically I just started a college course with using Virtual Box, and I'm basically setting it up so that I can bring my VDI file with me wherever I go. I'm going to copy/paste the task I'm on so you can read it for yourself, and then below that I'll explain where I'm having difficulty - Thanks for any assistance in advance.

Task:
Locate the (CentOS Linux Host.vdi) virtual hard disk instance. Right mouse click on this virtual hard disk instance, and from the shortcut menu, select (remove). CAUTION - The removal of the virtual hard disk image file is a (2) part process. The first part (remove and cancel options) will remove the reference to the virtual disk image file from the Host OS. The second part (delete, keep, and cancel options) will either delete or preserve the underlying virtual disk image file. It is very important that you do not delete the underlying virtual disk image file. Complete the steps to (remove) the virtual disk image file reference from the Host OS, and (keep) the underlying virtual disk image file on your personal portable 2.5" USB self-powered hard disk

My Problem:
I've done most of the task, up to the point where I selected "keep" to retain the underlying virtual disk image file, but after I pressed "keep", the reference to that VDI file on virtual box disappeared, and I can't figure out where I need to go to find the VDI file and move it to my portable harddrive.

Thanks again if you can point me in the right direction!

Why not just search for *.vdi in the file manager to see where it is?

Aye, I found it in a weird way, i went to File > Preferences > General and then just went to the Default Machine Folder.

Bit of a blonde moment for me I guess aha, thanks for the help though Perry :)
