I'm sure this question has been asked many times - but I could not find an answer using Search. I am a brand new Newbie - just installed vs. 4.1.2 and would like to get started. Should I install the extension pack offered by Oracle? What I would like to end up with, for now, is a clean installation of W7 as a guest - and to have access to my mouseand my USB backup drive. The purpose is to download an app and try it on the Guest. I think this would be good practice and a good place to begin. There must be a site that provides step-by-step instructions for such a basic task. Thank you..........
PS: I have the full installation disk for my Host system.
How make a W7 guest on a W7 host?

Yes install the ExtPack if you want the USB to work.
You install the OS in VirtualBox and just like you would on metal.
