I like to setup a lab where users can have access to various versions of Windows (XP, Vista, 7). PRoblem is I have team of 20 engineers who at any tie 10 of them might need to have access to all these OSes.

What is the best solution?
I have a Windows 7 machine (can be other OS) that is running VBox and I have created all the guest OSes that I need.

I know I can enable remote display, but does that allow me to run just one remote connection at a time? (I guess so)
If so then do I need to run several instances of each guest OS?

Any other way to solve this ?

Get a dl360 with a dual xeon quad core, stuff it full of ram, attach a sas6gb storage card in it and a sas6gb storage unit in raid1, install one of the many free vbox management tools and of you go. Its that simple.

My question was mostly about software.
How do I set vbox up to be able to serve several instances of an OS?
For example, Do I install Window XP as a guest os once and then several people can remote connect to it?

The not so clear part for me is how do I serve an OS to several users?

If more then one needs a VM then you need more VM's and their licenses, access is easy via RDP.
