Using USB from remote PC

Hi,

A member of my team who is in another town has to work with some USB devices that are with me. It is impractical to send the devices over to him since I need them from time to time, too.
Currently we work like this:
I installed on my Win7 host a virtual machine with WinXP x32 guest. In the WinXP guest I have installed all developer's tools my colleague needs. He logs into this virtual machine using Remote Desktop connection (he does not care it is virtual, for him it is just a WinXP machine somewhere) . When he needs the USB device plugged/unplugged, he sends me a message and I physically plug/unplug. The only problem is that he works in the virtual machine which runs on my PC and this delays things when he is building the project etc.
Is there a way to pass him the USB ports somehow (with VRDP ?) so he can work on his machine and only uses my USB ports.

Thanks

What do you mean by passing USB ports? Kindly explain. What I suggest is try using various remote support services such as logmeinrescue, gosupportnow, GoToMyPC etc. in order to have remote support between computers
