Well it took me a bit to figure out WHY I couldn't delete the ISO from the Virtual Media Manager which VirtualBox "complained" about every time I started VirtualBox up... turned out that when I took a snapshot of the VM, it had the ISO file in question attached/mounted to the VM's DVD drive. Ultimately I didn't REALLY care too much so I simply deleted the two snapshots of the VM that had the ISO attached and THEN I could delete the ISO from the media list.

I would like to know if any way exists to actually unmount an ISO file from a VM CD/DVD drive snapshot. Frankly the answer "No" would make sense, but it did make for a somewhat annoying message every time I started VirtualBox.

Assuming no way exists to dismount/detach removable media from a VM snapshot, I suggest maybe introducing an informational dialog box as part of the snapshot creation process that informs the user when the virtual machine has any removable media attached to it.
