Explorer Window "Local Disk (C:)" Always Opens on Startup

Every time I boot up my Win7 guest, Windows opens an explorer window for "Local Disk (C:)". I cannot find a way to stop this behavior. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Sounds like something in your startup. Check the startup folder in the start menu, then check msconfig. This question does not belong here, because it has nothing to do with VB. You just happen to run Windows in VB. The cause is not VB related.

I've checked all of the startup places in Win7 I can think of and scoured the web for a solution. I've never had this problem on any other installation of Win7 other than on my 2 VirtualBox installations. That's why I've turned to here for some help.

You don't have any setting in Folder Options to restore explorer windows upon login?

No, I don't. The option is unchecked. I always close this explorer window when I shutdown the vm, and it always opens back up again when I start up the vm.

Check with autoruns what causes it. A faulty shortcut can also do this. If you can't figure it out, ask at a specialized forum. This is something that's not caused by VB. There's no way it does this.
