Keyboard problem using VBox - RealVNC - Win7

Post by julioc »

Hello all,

vbox: Virtualbox 4.1.0-dfsg-2
host: Debian testing/unstable 2.6.39-2-amd64
guest: Windows 7 64bits SP1
keyboard: ABNT2

When running in the environment described above, everything is fine.

However, the following won't work:

RealVNC: RealVNC E4.6.0 [viewer]

1] launching realvnc, login in our unix account

Note: let's precise that when using the remote unix session 'only',
the keyboard behaves as expected

2] launching vbox and then a windows 7 guest session

-> then the keyboard behaves like crazy EXCEPT when used to enter
in a command line session [cmd]

a] even pressed and locked, the numlock of the numpad is
not behind taken into account: no digits input is possible
using the numpad;
b] other keys behave like if they were an inversion of the main
keyboard definition.

Does any one already faced such a situation and could help us with
recommendation(s)/solution ?

Many thanks,
Julio
