FATAL: no bootable medium found! System halted

Hi all,
I know this has been posted a zillion different times in different places but I haven't been able to get around it.
I created my virtual box on my Mac running Lion when I try to install RedHat, I get that message. I've tried clicking the passthrough option. That didn't work. I've tried to install from the iso but can't even get the storage dialog box to see it. What am I doing wrong? I'm about to give up on this virtualbox app. Please don't tell me to read the manual. I've looked all over the manual and I can't find a solution to this problem.
What I need are very clear directions designed for someone who has never done this before.
Thanks in advance.

So you downloaded the ISO from the red hat website. Let's just say you put it on your desktop. Now open VB, then the VM settings. Go to Storage, click on the DVD drive, then on the right most icon to select an ISO. Browse to your desktop, select the downloaded ISO and click on OK. Start the VM and it should boot from the ISO.
You don't like it, but chapter 3 and 5 of the manual describe the storage options. Should get you going for the ISO file if you can't make heads or tails of the above instructions. And youtube should have plenty of video tutorials.

I have this error and am having trouble correcting git.

I have Virtual Box 4.1.2 installed on an OSX 10.6.8 iMac. I have an Ubuntu VM running but the static virtual disk was set up too small by me. I wanted to create a second Ubuntu VM identical to first one but using the dynamic VD which I set at a max size of 55 GB. All that seemed to go ok. But when I try to start up the second VM I am getting the "FATAL: No bootable medium found! System Halted" message. My original VM starts up fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Wouldn't that be because you never installed an OS on it, like what you did with the first VM?
