I am not sure when this changed but what is the argument of having a Disk Manager that can only release and remove disks? I have a hard time understanding why I must open a manager window to remove a disk only to have to open a VM setup window to add it. Either make the manager window focused on the task it's name implies and let us add disks as it was before or remove the window all together because we might as well just go into the VM's settings and remove the disk there.
Basically it just annoys me that it's become unfocused. Please add constructive comments to help me understand..
Thank you for your time.

Re: The Disk Manager...
A disk can be added and removed from the VM setup window. The global release/remove removes it from all VMs at once (yes, a disk can be mounted in more than one VM).micnolmad wrote:I have a hard time understanding why I must open a manager window to remove a disk only to have to open a VM setup window to add it
As to why the change: in V4 the global media registry was discarded and replaced with the idea that each VM would have its own local registry. This makes VMs more portable, more robust (you can't lose all your VMs at once via a trashed VirtualBox.xml), and is also easier to back up. The discussion is still available in the beta forum if you want to read it.
