a lot of Bluescreens

Post by Custom »

Hi!

I have got some trouble wit VB on a Vista Host using a XP Guest. Unfortunately there are a lot of blue screens. After I read something about audio I deactivated the audio driver but there was an other bluescreen which a cannot associate.

Is such trouble already known?

There are still known problems with shared folders and Vista as host and/or guest. Do these bluescreens appear during actions on shared folders?

Try disabling Web Client

Post by lemrichard »

I used to have a lot of bluescreen in VirtualBox, especially when I used shared folders or anything over the network (smb).

I solved that problem by disabling Web Client service.

1. Run 'services.msc'.
2. Find the Web Client Service.
3. Stop the service (with the stop button).
4. Double click on the service and Disable it (it is started Automatically by default).

This might eliminate your blue screen problem. Sorry if the instructions are not very precise, but I don't have an open WinXP right now :).
