Hi,
I have a Windows Vista virtual machine built under VirtualBox ver 4.0.6 / Ubuntu 10.04 and I was wondering how I can move this virtual machine from my Ubuntu machine to my MAC machine?
Is there a special way to backup the virtual machine files so that it will work under MAC OS? or I just need to copy and paste the files on the MAC OS?
Thanks for your time

Re: Transfering virtual machine question
You could copy the entire guest folder (since 4.0.* changed its storage format) and place it in the MAC VirtualBox VMs folder and double click the *.vbox file or run the add feature in the main manager. How ever this may or may not work between different hosts. The suggested approach listed in your VirtualBox users manual is to use the export/import feature.

Re: Transfering virtual machine question
Thanks a lot for your help. I will try the export feature in moving the virtual machine, hopefully it will work without any problem between the 2 OS
