¿ It's safe to install ?

Hello, i'm using Windows XP professional with service pack3 and runing Virtualbox and it's works very fine.
I haved Ubuntu installed and it's run very quickly, but now i'm trying to know Windows 7. I've buy Windows 7 and
i'm thinking to install another virtual machine with Windows 7 installed inside under my windows XP. The reason
of this is that i've software that's not compatible with Windows 7 and i'm writting the code to make compatible.
¿ I's safe/posible to install Windows 7 with Virtualbox running under Windows XP ?
