Hi
I'm using Virtual Box 4.0.4 on a Windows 7 host with a Windows XP guest. I have guest additions installed on the guest. How can I stop the guest from automatically synchronizing its time with the host?

Re: Stopping automatic time sync
Many thanks
I have a second question: Is there some way to set the guest's time at startup? I.e. I want to automatically set the guest's clock to 3:14pm, 17 August 2011 when it starts up.

Re: Stopping automatic time sync
See the command
VBoxManage modifyvm <name> -biossystemtimeoffset -<milliseconds>
maybe it is useful to you somehow.

Re: Stopping automatic time sync
Remember, that Windows might have been set up to synchronize via internet.

Re: Stopping automatic time sync
Depending on the actual command you are wanting to run (there are several) just replace the <name> with MASHA
If the host is Windows you need to be in the directory that has VBoxManage.exe fro the command to work.
