Question about Minimum Video Memory

Post by Mally »

I searched for this via Google, but only found older, less-than-relevant replies. Hope this hasn't been discussed recently. Using v. 4.1.0, in my settings, under Display, I'm told "On the Display page, you have assigned less than 21 MB of video memory which is the minimum amount required to switch the virtual machine to fullscreen or seamless mode." True enough; only 16 MB were assigned there during installation by the software. I assigned 768 MB to the system base memory. I'd like to see Windows 7 in seamless or fullscreen mode. As it is, it's a small window in the middle of my screen, and changing to fullscreen or seamless makes the VM unstable, then it crashes. Problem is, I can't change up or down that 16 MB setting. Could someone please give me a pointer on how to do that as well as a suggestion as to how many MB to assign there? Thanks in advance,

Mally ?

Isn't in clear what needs to be done and where? Shut down the VM, open it's settings and increase the VRAM to at least 21 MB as noted. What's keeping you from setting this?
