It's a warning. It's telling you that you don't have audio input capability (Microphone and Line In). Tick the "Do not show this message again" box if you can't or don't want to fix the host issue its telling you about.

AntxmL: this is only 3+ years late, but hopefully better late than never...

I have almost the same setup as you: Win 7 sp1 host, same exact Windows audio as you, and an Xubuntu 14.04 host that I have been playing with. (I have concluded that Windows is too hopelessly insecure to use for general web browsing, so I want a "virtual air gap" security buffer...)

I get the same exact warning dialog as you too.

In my case, I can make the warning go away simply by plugging in a smart phone headset adapter into my PC. (This is a single female jack to dual male jack transformer, that looks like this. Crap, was gonna put in a link, but this forum's software says I have to be a member for > 1 day...)

That adapter seems to fool my Dell T1700 into thinking that there is an active microphone, which makes the warning about some audio on the host not responding go away. I owe it to mpack to inspire me to try this.

Hope this helps someone else scouring the web!
