I'm running 4.0.12 Under Win7HP, with XP-SP3 Guest with multiple displays (laptop + External). It's been working fine for a long time but I upgraded my external monitor today to a new model with higher resolution. In my Guest OS, the external monitor is now the Default display, and it won't let me change it back to the Built-In Display. I can change resolutions, change monitor orientations and placements, and if I take off the "Extend My Desktop" option it turns off my built-in laptop display.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I really need the laptop display to be primary like it was before the monitor upgrade.
Also, if I set my resolution higher than 1400x1050 I'm losing the bottom of the screen. The monitor supports higher resolutions (I'm running higher than that in Win7, and I have the same monitor on a dedicated XP machine running a higher resolution) so it seems to be a limitation of Virtual Box. Unfortunately, the reason for the monitor upgrade was to get the higher resolution.
I have my GuestOS settings for 2 displays with 26mb Video Memory.
Thanks

Re: Setting Primary Display (XP SP3 Guest)
First issue is not discussed here, because it has nothing to do with VB. Go to a Windows specialised forum like MS Technet for help.
The Guest issue, is probably due to low VRAM. Increase it and you should be able to get higher full screen resolutions.
