It's available in the Machine menu (or View menu, depending on the version). If it's greyed out, the Additions aren't installed or loaded.

I am seeing a strange issue between two VB hosts. I have seamless mode working fine in one of my VB installs (hostA) with a WinXP guest (guest1) but after upgrading both VB hosts to 4.1.2 from 4.0.12, one of the WinXP guest (guest2)on hostB fails to remain in seamless mode. I have confirmed that both guests have Guest Additions for 4.1.2 installed. When guest2 boots up, I'm able to login and briefly switch it to seamless mode but then it kicks me back out of seamless mode. Mouse integration continues to work, and I can go into fullscreen mode but seamless mode won't stick.

HostA is running 64bit Ubuntu Natty 11.04. HostB is running 32bit Ubuntu Lucid 10.04.3. Both guests are 32bit WinXP. Both guests previously were working in seamless mode. Any ideas?

Problem solved. It turns out that 32MB of VM VRAM is no longer enough to operate seamless. I don't know what the exact minimum required is anymore but I upped my VM's VRAM to 48MB and am now able to enter and stay in seamless mode.

Hi there!

Please help.

This is definitely not working for me.

My video ram is at the max setting (128mb) and still no luck.

Here are the details of what I have tried....

(cannot post urls, ug, so that's a munged version)

...so please, if you have any hints then please let me know.

Thanks.
