Getting 3d Hardware Acceleration on Guest OS [How?]

Hi. I'm using Windows 7 as my host system and I have Windows Me as my guest system.
I have Windows Me as a guest system to attempt to use it for applications that don't work on Windows 7 but that will work on the Windows 9x/Me line.
One question I have is that how can I get 3d acceleration to work on Windows Me? I tried using "Install Guest Additions", but the setup tells me that it doesn't support my OS.
What can I do to get 3d hardware acceleration to work?
Thanks in advance,
Andy
