I just upgraded to Lion and VB is working fine - latest version and updated guest additions. However it takes an eternity after the login screen to show the desktop. I have two machines - XP and Win 7. The XP is worst but the Win 7 is slow too. Once the desktop is shown then everything seems fine. I tried updating the Controller on the XP machine to use SATA to see if that made a difference but not really.
Anyone else noticed this post Lion?

VB version? There have been some fixes for Lion Host, so make sure you run the latest.

I'm running 4.1.2 r73507
It's the latest released update and logging in to an ubuntu 11.04 guest account from my
24" 2.8gh core 2 duo silver model imac is terribly slow when running Lion.
They say Lions RawR but mine is more of a mewwwwww.

Re: Lion & VB Login painfully slow
Hi,
I was having the same problem, my machine would come to almost a halt in Lion. Somehow my machine configuration got screwed and was reporting less memory than it should. I was giving the Guest OS 1.5 GB out of 4 GB but my machine was only aware of 2 GB. I changed the memory asigned to just .5 GB and problem solved. The VM works in Lion just as well as it did on Snow Leopard.
Cheers!
