I have a Win 7 SP1 host and a Win XP SP 3 guest. When I run chkdsk in the guest at initial VM launch, things look good. If I save the machine state and then restart the VM, chkdsk shows multiple errors. If I shutdown the VM and restart the errors are not present.
Configuration:
ICH6 Disk Controller (Issue is the same with Host Caching enabled or disabled)
Immutable VDI with XP SP3 and all latest updates installed
File System: NTFS
786 MB Memory in VM
CPU limited to 80%
Host System:
dual core 2.5 GHz Core 2 duo
4GB RAM
1 TB NTFS
