I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit host with 16GB RAM. I have a Windows 7 Pro 32-bit guest, a Windows XP Pro guest & Ubuntu Linux 10 & 11 guests running at the same time. VB has locked up twice this week. I have the latest version of VB & Additions installed. They've been installed since I got the update that they were available. I didn't have this problem until the update. VB locks up only the Windows sessions, but the LInux sessions were fine & I was able to actually halt them without any problems. The Windows XP & Windows 7 Pro Guests we frozen with the error that VB was not responding & did I want to wait or halt the app. I was unable to access either Windows system to shut them down, so I had to let the system "crash them". Does anyone have any ideas on what's causing this or what I can do to fix it? It's obviously NOT cool. I lost a bunch of work that I was in the middle of, although when the system froze, I wasn't actually "doing" anything. I was just reading an email in the Windows 7 guest. Then I clicked on it & both Windows guests froze.
Of course, Windows 7 does not give any decent info on anything (what a crappy OS!!!), so I'm just left with "Your system had a problem". DUH!
Here's the info from the even viewer in the host:

It just happened again, so I thought I'd update this thread. That's 3 times in less than a week; assuming it doesn't happen again today. Does anyone have any thoughts about me knocking this back to the previous version of 4.0.8.0 (I think)? Is there a way to go back to the previous version without removing this one & reinstalling everything? Can I just install the old version & add the old Additions? Just writing that sounds dangerous to me. That seems like it could, possibly even WOULD, be asking for trouble.
I've done a quick check on this site to see if anyone else is having similar problem with this release, but I don't see anything like I'm experiencing. If anyone does see similar a post with similar problems, please point me in that direction. I'm going to look again. THANKS!
