Hi All,
Using 4.0.12-72916~Ubuntu~natty on the host. This is Ubuntu 11.04. The guest is Win7. I can start and stop the guest without problems but if I save the current state then resume the guest comes up but hangs for what seems like about 30 seconds to a minute. The screen will turn black, but I can still see the status icons at the bottom of the VM. Maybe 10 seconds after this it draws the Win7 screen again but very slowly (about 10 seconds).
Once the screen finishes drawing it works like a champ again. I recently moved this VM from a Fedora Core 14 box running 4.0.10 of VBox. There it did not do this.
Thanks,
-Bennett

[SOLVED]: Win7 guest hangs when started from a saved state
While trying to figure out why shared folder access was so slow I found a fix/workaround of adding "vboxsvr" to the etc/hosts on the Win7 guest. This fixed the hang during the startup as well.
