I am currently running Virtualbox (4.0.10) on Ubuntu 11.04 64bit host OS with two VMs, one is a Windows XP 32-bit, the other is Windows 7 64-bit.
I know experience that Direct3D performance on the XP VM is better than the one on Win7. While the reported frame rates are similar on both guests, the picture flow is more jerky on the Win7 guest.
Where does this difference come from? Is it a now issue, are there any configuration changes that could improve performance? Thanks for any advice.
