Intalling Java Runtime Enviroment into a Virtual Machine

Post by fjag79 »

Hi, I'm having problems installing jre_1.5_09. The issue is that when I start the installer get stuck because is running but not installing. Is there a restriction if you want to install jre into a virtual box guest machine ?

Thanks.

I'm running virtual box 4.10 on Windows Vista x64 and Windows Xp SP3 Guest.

I have java 6 running in a VM no problem. May I know why you want to use such an outdated version? If at all, you should use at least the latest java 5 release.
