As I said, I use lubuntu which use lxdm. There is no xorg.conf and I don't know how much important it is for VB 4.0.8
As far as I remember, I didn't have such problem with lubuntu 10.10.

Yes, I have a comment. You didn't read the howto properly. There are clear notes that the xorg config is NOT required for newer versions of Linux. Nor did you properly read what command you had to use to install the GA.

Taking a long piece of text for granted and not trying to understand it and take your time while it's in the tutorials section is disrespectful towards the writer. Since you found the proper way, I forgive you. I hope you don't do things like this in normal life when you're in a hurry, you could get burned one day.
