Intercepting VM Block I/O

Post by fefeoxy »

Hi fellow programmers,

I'm exploring the possibility of modifying VirtualBox such that I can intercept all the block I/O to and from the VM's file system (in raw form). I want to be able to run custom code to verify the security and consistency of the data before it goes to disk. Does anyone have experience with a similar objective and could help me get started. Thanks!

Off topic. See the VirtualBox OSE forum or the VBox-dev mailing list.
