Centos 5.6 guest hangs virtualbox when shutdown

Post by kenyee »

When you ask a CentOS 5.6 guest (64-bit) to shut down or reboot, it hangs Virtualbox (host is Windows XP).
I'm using the latest Virtualbox 4.0.10 and installed guest additions.

Copy/paste to Centos also fails, but only hangs for a little while.

Debian (sid, 64-bit) seems to work fine as a guest in VirtualBox though...no problems rebooting at all :-P

ok...fyi, shutdown works if you do it from the command line, but not if you do it from within KDE which you started via startx....
