Very slow network printer connection

Hi, I experienced very slow network printers connection under XP guest to a network print server.
Inside the XP guest, I connect to some network printers from '//printserver', 'printserver' is NOT the host.
I can connect to the printers successfully, however, whenever I open the "Printers and Faxes" inside the XP guest, all printers inside will show "Opening" for very long time. It would take 5 mins or even more for all the printers status change to "Ready".
When the printers are in "Opening" status, "My Computer" will freeze and I cannot open C: or any other drives until the printers status are all changed to "Ready". After all printers are "Ready" then "My Computer" will act normally. Then, if I close the "Printers and Faxes" window and re-open it, all printers status will be "Opening" again ..... and the problem repeat.
Network printer connection under the XP host is normal. connection is very fast.
Any help?
