Accessing VM from Host, using HTTP://VN-Name

Hello all, I'm new here and I'm looking for some help with my VM running XP on a Mac host.
In my VM, I have XP that's running the XAMP/PHP web server, that has multiple sup domains. The machine name in the VM is called "Baby". When I open a web browser in the VM and goto: http://baby, I can see my web pages and it loads the CSS files from http://css.baby.
However, in the Mac (Host) I cannot seem to access "Baby" via http://baby. I have added "Baby" and all of the subdomains to the Mac host files and flushed the DNS and still nothing! I can access baby via the IP (http://192.168.1.20), however, the subdomains don't work.
My VM is using a bridged network adaptor.
Please can someone help me? It's probably something very simple but I am totally puzzled.
